BALMER OPENS FOR MARKLEY NONET AT UNCLE CALVIN’S COFFEEHOUSE

TONIGHT, FOLKSES!, Friday, July 19th, 8 PM, At Uncle Calvin’s Coffeehouse in Dallas, Bruce Balmer will work two shifts.

First, as the Opening Performance, including his voice-and-guitar renditions of original songs from his soon-to-be released album from Soona Songs.  These tunes have been years in the polishing; earlier versions may have been heard in sylvan settings.

Second, he will be hustling to keep up with the sterling personnel in Lisa Markley’s Nonet, a one-time-only performance being remotely recorded by Soona Songs, and also being filmed for documentary purposes on Lisa’s life as a working musician, teacher, and ongoing student of jazz voice at UNT Denton.  These players include Buddy Mohmed, Shelley Carrol, Drew Zaremba, Chris McGuire, William Foley, Andrew Griffith, Dillon Garrett and Bruce Balmer.
